Why the hell when they are resurfacing the roads do they leave my car and everyone else's to disperse all the chippings and then after a few week come along and finish the job.

I use **** roads everyday and have lost count of the chips on the paintwork/ windscreen not to mention the tar.

    GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Yeah i don't see the point in it, as the chips that they lay down wear off after a while.I hate it when you're driving along and you know that the car is going to get stoned, I always slow down when there are fresh chips put down as it lessens the impact of the stones on the car, and although they put signs up that say slow down and the max speed limit, it can still be very dangerous, all it takes is someone to come flying around a corner, or something to pull out in front of them and there is trouble, because there is no grip what so ever.

    YES THEY STILL DO

ive just moved here and the 20 mile stretch i use to work seems to be getting patched up in this fashion a mile at a time. yea they have a 25 km sign but the guy coming the other way in a old banger doesnt give a ****. chips tar and i dont even want to mention my windscreen and bonnet. and all the chips are in my line of view too.
even worse when they are finished the road will still be **** and bumpy with a 100km limit that will put anyone putting it into practice in the ditch on a few corners.

To make thinks worse i've had to replace two tyres in six months and run flats at that.

ahhh must buy a **** mobile for the next five years when they prob wont have finished it and have to start again.

Yeah, I find that too - that stupid jerks and loose clippings don't mix. Speeders are for the most part s**t drivers that couldn't corner even if their lives depended on it. What speeding jerks also have to realize is that when other motorists swerve to get out of their way, it's not because they're great drivers, it because responsible motorists are making allowances for them given the pathetic standard of driving.

Had to get that off my chest.

At least the chips leave a half decent job compared to the quick set tarmac that leaves the road like bubble wrap
