    Hey,

Just looking for information from people who have recently started the course in Hibernia for Primary School teaching.

Im hoping to apply this august '12 and just want to know what to expect from the interview -
what kind of questions do they ask ?
what kind of answers are appropriate ;) ?
is there any real way of preparing for it ?
how high a standard is the irish ?

Also am i immediately at a down side of i don't have any previous experience in the classroom ? i know a friend of mine had to teach for 2 years (unqualified) before he got into the course but he may just be awful at interviews, not sure !!

    thanks :)

    Hi all:)

Don't be nervous! They are very friendly and try to put you at ease. I have just finished Hibernia and even though it was a tough 18 months I really enjoyed it! The interview is 20 mins long- 10 mins in Irish and 10 in Eng...it flies! I was given a quote at the start of the interview to explain in my own words..they just want to see how you can communicate :) you can look up previous questions on the link above..I found them v useful!

Hi... Just wondering if you did the interview? When it was, and if you got into the course?

Hi there. I see that you are just finished the hibernia course. I am currently back doing my LC Irish. I hope to get a place on the hibernia course in oct 13. Just wondering were you a mature student. I am 32 at present. Just interested how a nature student would find it.. And also do did you work and do you have children ? Sorry for all the questions... I am just curious .. Just to see if in over ambitious
