Roaming in NYC

    Good morning all.

I am heading to NYC in December, and based on comments about the hotel from different sites, it seems that wifi may or may not be available, and it may or may not be great... So, i am looking for a mobile internet connection for the USA... Ideally, a Mifi with 3 or 4G to use on different devices, but anything that would support a Skype call would be needed...

Any ideas on who to look for? Vodafone, O2 and Three all want redonkulous money per Meg (5 and 6 EUR per meg on their sites). Any one needed a connection in the states? I am there for a week, and ideally using a mifi like device would be perfect to get around the city using navigation on the iPhone or Android...

    Thanks.

This list may be of some use to you. I don't know how active/up to date it is though.

Actually, having had a quick read of the USA section, it is quite fresh, details of data plans as of June 1st, 2012. Amongst other dates.

    (scroll down and select USA)

cool. thanks for the links. looks like buying a SIM and 3G/4G stick is cheaper than what Vodafone want... Vodafone have just quoted me EUR32 a day for 7 days internet at a little over 200mb each day... T mobile want $3, and that includes calls and texts, and 4G Data for the first 200mb... the rest is 3G? anyway, looks like my plan... Thanks!
