    Hi!

Just looking for a bit of advice! I plan to do the MA in Accounting, but I've only realised recently that the thesis is due at the beginning of May!! I was just wondering has anyone else done this course and if so, how did they manage with juggling studying for exams, continuous assessment and trying to get the thesis done? I am just thinking in comparison to other MAccs where the thesis isn't due until the end of August, it seems like alot of pressure!

    Thanks :)

Hi, I attend this course 2010-2011.
For the exams you will need to study a good few weeks in advance (for the Christmas and Summer exams) with a bit of work throughout. You cannot cram these.
Really you need to be aiming at finishing your thesis March/early April. Personally I left my thesis a week or two later and it did affect my study and ended up being very stressful.

    Thanks for your reply :)

It definitely does seem like I'd have to work hard to stay on top of things....did most people find it ok to try and keep up with the work or was it difficult to juggle everything?

On a whole, would u recommend the course? I have other offers for MAccs and I want to try make an informed decision as much as I can!!!

    It is doable.

The main influence on your consideration of what you will get out of it at the end. If you are going to do accountancy as your career, check what exemptions you currently have with an accountancy body and see what you will get after you finish this course.
This course can be an annoyance as your exemptions for Chartered are on the condition that you get 50% in all modules (no compensation nor partial exemptions).
