Can you get the back to education allowance to repeat the leaving certificate as a mature student if you passed the first time. I want to study medicine. If you can how do you go about getting it.

According to the guidelines, it may be possible. If you meet all the other criteria of eligibility, then ask at the Dept of Social Protection office and then proceed to secure a place to repeat and make the BTEA application.

Leaving Certificate ( Repeat LC maybe allowed for persons who are at least 23 years of age on the 1st January of the year of re-entry)

VTOS is more common for leaving Cert.

    Check with your local VEC.
