I landed in Thailand a few hours ago but my passport was missing a few of the middle pages so they won't let me through passport control and I am being put on a flight home.

Does anyone know what the process is for getting an emergency passport when I get home? I was planning on getting one, and getting on another flight back here as I have a 4 week trip planned and almost everything has been booked and paid for.

The government websites are proving to be fairly useless.

    Thanks!!

I cant believe you flew on a damaged passport! Thats the ultimate no-no!!

Have you been allowed contact the consulate in Bangkok as I know they issue emergency passports, otherwise im sure they would issue you one quickly in Dublin but you mightnt even get a flight out for ages again.

Rang the consulate, nothing they could do. I know it was my own silly fault. Just didnt think it would be a big deal.

getting an emergency passport issued by wednesday, flight back thursday. costing 650 quid. Expensive trip for a few pages.

    Where's that embarassed smiley haha
