Timber Frame Companies - Ireland

Anyone working or have worked with good timber Frame companies within the last 6-12 months???

Looking for a good recommendation of companies to speak to.

I personally would not go timber frame. i have been involved in the building of them. yes there are advantages with timber frame - insulation etc.... but if you are building your family home and hoping to pass it on to the next generation - then concrete is the way to go - sorry to all timber frame companies!!!!!!!!!!!

Let the next generation worry about themselves mr deere!;) You obviously worked with a load of cowboys during the boomtimes or as a student.

It's all in the detailing. If done right, there is no reason why they shoudn't last just as long as a block built house. Perhaps not? Please feel free to elaborate and explain your reasoning for not liking TF?

Am intersted too in building timber frame, so if anyone has any recommendations of companies operating in Ireland which you have personal experience of PM me please!

muckit - timber frame has its advantages but also disadvantages - i simply think the disadvantages outweigh the advantages!!!!
