mountain bike question

I have a sensor mountain bike that I was thinking of fixing up. I would be using it for hard training up hilly roads and inclines. It weighs a tonne but I feel it would be better for training than my racer. I would be pedalling additional weight up hills which should be of benefit to me. Bike is about 6 years old, chrome on the forks is rusting along with the front handlebars v brakes and all the nuts and bolts on the bike but rest of bike seems good. I was thinking of giving it in for full mechanical and minor comestic refurbishing professionally. I'm sorry I didn't look after it better before now. I'd post a picture but I cant seem to upload a photo on boards through android phone.

    Any thoughts?

If you find going uphill on your road bike too easy then just go faster. It'll stop being too easy quite quickly.

True but would love to get this bike back on the road too. I would change the tyres to slicks and could go on very rough roads where I wouldnt be too keen to take a racer there.

Any places in the Cork Kerry or Limerick region where bikes can be taken to be restored?

    Hey guys,

I've got a friend from Germany and he's looking for some trails for mountainbiking but it should be near Dublin, cause he doesn't have his own car here. Does anybody know some good places to go?

    Thanks in advance!

There is only one place in Dublin where all the mountain bikers are kept: http://www.dublinmountains.ie/recreation_sites/ticknock_mtb_trails/
