    Hi guys,

I have a second round interview with Glanbia on Friday for their Business Analyst Graduate Programme. I really want the job and have been preparing as best as I can over the last few days but I have no idea what the interview will be like. I've tried searching but to no avail. I'm hoping somebody here has done the interview before or even knows someone who has. I am preparing all the usual questions but I keep worrying that they will ask me some tough questions that I won't have prepared. Any help or information at all or any advice on graduate programme interviews in general would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

I know a few that have done interviews/worked on graduate progrmme. Their requirements are tough and can ask some very funny questions in interview. Not to make you nervous but the smallest mistake can cost you dearly! Expect the unexpected & prepare to think on your feet during the interview. Take your time answering the questions and dont rush into answering them. Obviously know your CV inside out! Best of luck

Thanks for the info and advice on it. Sorry to press you further but any idea what some of the funny questions were? Any examples at all would be great. I hope they don't go out of their way to try and catch me off guard and make me slip up. :(

Why do you want to work in the food industry?

I was on the verge of laughter when they asked me that.

Hope you managed to keep a straight face! Did they ask you anything that caught you off guard?

Large company with many applicants so slightest hiccup can be costly.:( If you have connections with them definately use them! It could be that bit extra that gets you over the line. I know some lads with them who defianely wouldnt have gotten in without a nod/word from father/brother/neighbour etc.

Eh obviously all the normal interview questions but be prepared for business questions with agri/food twists. Know about their various expansion plans in Ireland & abroad. Not sure where your from or have farming background but know about the different products/processes, (Farmer vs consumer goods), different plants/operations, relationships with other processors & the various groups that deal with on a daily basis. Talk to anyone you know who works in the agri-business sector, reada the farmers journal & spend a lot of time on websites.:o Best of luck & let us know how it goes ;)

I started in the BIS/eCommerce Grad Program about a month ago (Just finished BIS degree in NUIG). Application process was a bit of a balls to be honest, applied mid March, aptitude test/personality profile in Limerick, 1st interview in Limerick, then had 2 seperate interviews in Kilkenny, had the 3rd & final one around start of June.

In terms of the interviews, I thought they were alright, got pushed on my exam results (average enough), and the projects and work experience on CV. As long as you know what good points to highlight from each project etc you'll do grand, the interviewers were all alright for me.
