reverse switch on citreon picasso

i have a Citroen picasso ,the reverse lights dont work when its put in reverse .bulbs are not gone so thinking it has to be the reverse switch. anybody got any idea is the switch onthe front or back of the gear box. thanks lods great forum

Im taking it that your picasso is a manual. The switch is located on the top of the gearbox. There is a two wire connector on it. Maybe grey.
Join the two wires of the connector together and then check to see if the lights come on. If they do then you need a switch. Join wires then turn ignition on.
