    found it thanks.its near newmarketonfergus.

    i was in ennis last week and was supposed to meet some friends there,but seeemingly i went right past it. it's now called carraigoran.


    i'll know next time.hopefully there again in a couple of weeks:)

    lol probably nothing pappy.some friends of mine wanted to meet me there on my way back home to dublin.

    obviously they chose it as a place only a muppet could miss!

    carraigoran ...... never heard of it referred to as Odran's Rock ...... although I can now see the connection.

    All sounds like someone pulling you leg giving that name ... :D

    I've a feeling someone went a bit mad with an Irish/English dictionary, Carrigoran would be 2 words, Carrig and Oran, the first being Irish for Rock and the second being another version of Odhran, I've never heard anyone reference it as Odhran's Rock and I've spent a lot of time down there (my grandparents were there for a while)
