I'm getting a new box and free install upgrade from sky. Should I just get them to swap out my old thompson HD BOX for the new type or should I get the full install with new dish, bearing in mind my old dish has an octy LNB of which i use 4 outputs, but pay for just one viewing card, and use sky free epg viewing on two outputs. any views welcome thanks.

the old hd box is yours, keep it and get the new one from them.

if the dish is ok then it should be fine.

No I don't have a problem with my dish. I was just wondering if the OE had become obsolete, its circa ten years old.
I got the upgrade by ringing them and asking if my old thompson box should be updated, and they said no problem free box and free install, I asked why would I need a free install and they said sky doesn't do self install in ireland.

So they're sending a teckie just to plug in a new box?
