Hi hope someone can help me here. My British passport is due to expire next year. The only reason I hold a British passport is because I was born in England and the hassle and expense (at the time) of getting an Irish one wasn't worth it.
I would like to get an Irish one now, but would also like to renew my British one.. Is that allowed? Have only started checking it out and I can see that in northern Ireland citizens can hold both passports and have dual nationality ? Would that be the same for someone born in Britain and Irish parents?
