Reuben Heaton Flyweights are a great bang for the buck. Unlike electronic scales, from experience, they won't stop working because they got wet and the battery won't be flat just when you really need to weigh that specimen(?) fish.

i agree with the above on the reubens, I also have had good experiences with Salters

and waymasters if you want something smaller and cheaper

I would not use a digital myself and again agree with the above on this.

I got a new set of flyweights a few months ago. very good scales. wouldnt touch electronic scales, they go out of collaboration very easily.

avon scales are probbly the best though, but they are out of production. can only get them on ebay. I would have got them insstead of the flyweights if there were any on ebay at the time http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=avon+scales+fishing

club scales, so dont mind paying for good ones, have to be decent! we have 3 of the salters digitals for some time now and all 3 are giving trouble at this stage, due to getting wet no doubt, as we practice catch and release on competitions they are out in the elements
