    Flying to Thailand tomorrow and I was going to bring some ham sandwiches with me for the first leg of the journey Dublin -> Istanbul. You can bring homemade sandwiches through airport security can't you?

    I was sure you could but a friend just told me hers was taken off her before.

    Yeah id be fairly certain you'll get through with it. Might as well try worst they'll do is throw it in the bin.

    Yeah, but a sandwich? Which you eat on the plane or put in your bag to eat in the terminal? If you're transferring, I wouldn't worry about it.
