Updated my Galaxy S2 via Samsung Kies 2 days ago.Got texts today from friends however their names don't show only their numbers,I had to go in and put 00353 in front of their names and it seemed to fix it.But I'm damned if I'm doing that for all my contacts.Anyone know what is causing this?

Also my phone just switched itself on yesterday,no reason,75% battery left.Had to take SIM,SD card and battery out, then re-assemble and it switched on.Phone seems less smooth and has more glitches since I updated.
Tempted to go back to the way it was,any advice?

That would be ICS alright. This is a known problem along with many others. The update has been a disaster. Some apps wont work either such as Sky GO.

AFAIK there is nothing you can do out put the 00353 before each number. The phone turning off seems to be related to switching the wifi on or off. Only solution seems to be to take out the battery, put it back in and power on.

If I had known then what I know now I would never have updated. Apparently only 10% of android users are using ICS while Jellybean is due to be released, says it all really :(

At least I'm not the only one so!Thought the phone was going to pack up.Is there any way we can revert back to old firmware?I'm not very technically minded so I'd need help doing this,if we could do it!

That's Samsung's version of ICS that is giving you problems not Google's. I've been using SlimICS for over a month without any of those issues on a S2. From my experience always look at the manufacturer first.
