The introduction of IgE antibodies into the bloodstream triggers white blood cells to create histamine. Just wondering will this then lower white blood cell count?

B cells will secrete IgE in response to allergies & parasitic infections. Granulocytes (neutrophils, eosinophils & basophils) contain granules which contain among other things histamine. Mast cells granules also contain large amounts of histamine. Binding of IgE to receptors on Mast cells causes them to degranulate releasing the histamine. In relation to your question, If there is a an increase in IgE one would expect to see an increase in Eosinophils and mast cells Which may increase the Total WBC count.
