    anybody on ere cycling with diabetis i would love to get back into cycling and do some sportives i have type one diabetis and hints or tips

    Well Steve Redgrave, winner of 5 Olympic Gold medals, is a Type 1 diabetic so obviously sport and diabetes are not mutually exclusive!

    Consult your doctor first though!

    Apart from the obvious consult your doctor advice...
    Get a cycling buddy who understands your condition, and knows about hypos.
    Don't cycle on your own!

    There are diabetics who've raced and finished top 20 in the TDF and multiple other races. it's certainly harder and needs close monitoring of your sugars and meds.
    Type II is more straight forward and can be discussed with your GP.
    Type I is more complex and really best discussed with your consultant (some Gp's may have the expertise so mat be worth asking).
    Don't let it hold you back .....
