What's the name of the form that you ask for to reclaim tax

    Remember doing it a few years ago ( ringing the tax office and requesting this form) got a few quid back then, going to try it again

    For a check of your prior years tax situation, it's a P21

    To reclaim tax if you're temporarily unemployed, it's P50.

    You can request a review online which generates a P21 balancing statement for whatever year you wish reviewed. If a refund is due it will then issue automatically. You can also request a review over the phone, by email, fax etc.

    Refunds of tax are based on 3 things;

    1 You being taxed incorrectly by your employer(s) (emergency tax etc)
    2 Claiming additional tax reliefs/credits.
    3 Claim for unused rate band/credits in a particular tax year.
