Single guy going alone to bodrum? Advisable or not?

Hi Single guy mid thirties going alone to bodrum for a week. Havent booked yet but am worried. Have heard bad things about turkey re safety. Appreciate anywhere alone has risks but are my fears unfounded versus anywhere else? Also am stuck between here and lanzarote bue to times and departure airport. Any advice…

Wouldn't worry too much. I've been on a few trips to Turkey, often alone, in the big cities and in the remote regions, and I never felt concerned for my safety. Not more so than most other places.

Keep your wits about you, as anywhere.
