Electric mains shower on well system.

I have been asked to install an electric shower.

Can you install a mains fed electric shower on a pressurised well system?

The pump house has three cylinders, one large and two oblong and the pressure is showing 3 bar.

The person wants an electric shower so as to avoid using oil.

They are on a very tight budget, can anyone recommend a place to buy in Kerry (between Tralee/ Limerick or online?

The electrician is doing the electric side.

    Many thanks, Stove Fan:)

To my knowledge its not possible. What usually happens is you pump the well water to the attic then use a T90 from the attic tank.

The general reason for this is any mains shower runs the risk of starvation.

The pressure from the cold taps did seem high which made me think the pump house setup and cold water supply was pressurised direct rather than tank fed, and the hot supply less pressure due to being tank fed/ cylinder setup. It's a bungalow with cold tank in loft and cylinder in raised cupboard downstairs.

I am thinking it will be better/ safer bet to fit a tank fed T90 as you say. Will check to see if the cold tank size is sufficient:(

    Thanks. Stove Fan:)

A mains shower doesn't work due to the drop in pressure before the pump cuts back in you will just end up either scalding the arse of someone or the shower just can't work on low pressure
