I've been accepted to a Springboard course begining in September and was wondering will this affect my JSA payment. I know normally it wouldn't as most courses are evening and therefore leaves you available for work but this particular course runs Thursday 6-9, Friday 9-4 and Saturday 9-4. The problem is the Friday, I obviously won't be available for work so will I be cut that day? This is a great opportunity for me but money is tight at the moment

Any info would be greatly appriciated, I'll also ring SW office tomorrow morning

AFAIK for springboard course it is considered part time education option (PTEO) and you just need to go to your sw office and let them know I also think you have to get a form filled at sw office to return to springboard to show you are eligible to go on the course. Also you will have to fill out the back to education form. So you will not lose out for the days you are on the course.
