    Hi guys -
    I use linux mint 12 and Chromium is consistently running in full scdreen mode - and pressing f11 to revert is not doing anything - please help!

    If you set a keyboard shortcut for fullscreen mode in the keyboard shortcuts, you should be able to get out of it that way. Not sure if mint 12 is gnome 2, but if it is it's under system->preferences->keyboard shortcuts->toggle fullscreen mode.

    Mint 12 and 13 are Gnome 3.

    Is it just chrome - in Kde I had a problem a while ago where window decorations were not applied to guis using the qt libraries. Things looked fullscreen but still had toolbars

    13 has the "mate" version (which I use) which is based off gnome 2 (and delightful I must say :)).

    I installed all available updates, and it seems to all be ok now.....

    Gremlins somewhere. Thanks for your help guys.

    13 is available in both mate and gnome3, I use both.
