It comprises four provincial Branches Connacht, Leinster, Munster and Ulster, as well as the National Governing Body. I was reading this earlier. Is this a kneejerk reaction or has it been on the cards for a while? Was it a position that was previously held by someone that's been let go?

Allen Clarke has stepped aside after several years to take up the same role with his home province up north. The advert is for his replacement.

By all accounts Allen Clarke was useless at his time in charge of Irleand U20s. Players and coaches seemed to dislike him personally and he found it hard to get along with almost everyone. This is reflected in some of the results in my opinion. Particularly in 2009 with the team they had they should have challenged to win the JWC.

Hopefully they bring in somebody progressive to balance out Declan Kidney.

I'd say both Brian McLoughlin and Colin McEntee would be well suited to the role.

    Typical Irish reaction.

Most countries expect their head coach to deliver "high performance" from "elite players".
