Does anyone have an idea how long it takes the 65 bus to go from Blessington to Rathmines or Camden St. usually. I mean at peak times
would the 8am bus get me there for 9 ?

It would be very tight especially when schools return.

Better to get either the 0700 ex-Ballyknockan or 0710 ex-Ballymore that should pass through Blessington at about 0720 or so.

They will take about 65 minutes (or up to 80 when schools return) to get to Kelly's Corner from Blessington.

The following are the expected departures from Blessington Tourist Office and arrivals at South Richmond Street. I don't know how much it adjusts for seasonality and buses will tend to make best reasonable time as opposed to sticking to intermediate times.

    1. 06:31 - 07:20
    2. 07:11 - 08:00
    3. 07:24 - 08:25
    4. 08:01 - 09:04

So it would seem it would be just too late and leave you little room for manoeuvre.

From experience those times are ambitious - go with the buses I mention above.

    Thanks for that
Does the 65 stop at Kellys corner?. I need to go to hatch street so I guess its a 10 min walk from there

1st stop on Camden Street will be perfect for that.
