SD was taped straight after Raw last night

*Smackdown GM Zack Ryder comes out and says tonight the show is Zackdown. He gets everyone to fist pump and announced Sin Cara vs. Alberto Del Rio.

*Alberto Del Rio defeated Sin Cara with the rolling crossarmbreaker.

*Backstage, Big Show tries to bully Ryder, so he gets booked against The Great Khali. They have Khali doing the fist pump for comedy.

*Primo & Epico defeated The Prime Time Playa's (Darren Young & Titus O'Neill)

*Zack Ryder books World champion Sheamus vs. Chris Jericho after a backstage segment where Jericho interrupts Sheamus meeting with Ryder.

*Dolph Ziggler and Cody Rhodes defeated WWE Intercontinental champion Christian and WWE United States champion Santino Marella

    *Big Show KO'd Great Khali.

    *Ryback defeated Tyler Reks.

    *Damien Sandow defeated Justin Gabriel.

*WWE World champion Sheamus defeated Chris Jericho. Alberto Del Rio attacked Sheamus, laying him out and locking on the cross armbreaker.

Smackdown sounds like it could be a good show this week.

I thought Zack would have put himself in a title match :p

sounds like a good show! I'd say the crowd will be knackered though after sitting through RAW (and superstars)

    Robbie E >>>>>>>>>>>> Ryder.

Was that Ryback's first real opponent?

Totally agree Zacks a total hamster.
Ryback beat Curt Hawkins last week if you consider him or Reks real competition.

Another week, another vicious assault on Sheamus by Del Rio.

Sheamus vs Jericho is go out of your way good.

Sheamus is really reminding of Bret Hart these days in terms of not being super duper dynamic but working really hard in the ring.

Do you believe the rumours that Sheamus is being built as the next top face of the company? He obviously says and does all the right things, but I still find him quite bland overall.

which modern top face of the company isnt bland? even CM Punk is called this these days since becoming one of the top pushed faces in the promotion.

I do as both sides of the major two Wrestling websites who have independent sources from each other reported that WWE thinks Sheamus is an exemplary ambassador for the company and a real life nice guy.

I said it elsewhere but I am a bit skittish about saying it here but he still has too much Irish Whip Wrestling in him I think. You Smiley McSmiles slapping hands and rustle kids hair as he walks past him. He doesn't have an edge at all.

WWE rarely books faces with an edge anymore anyway (Orton's about the closest you'll get).

I think Sheamus is brilliant these days. From time to time his promo's are poor, but in the ring I think he always puts on a good match. He looks like he could kill you while at the same time he can take punishment. I love Sheamo matches.

*Primo & Epico defeated The Prime Time Playa's (Darren Young & Titus O'Neill)

They did not. Primo (w/ Epico and Rosa) defeated Darren Young (w/ Titus O'Neill and A.W.)

I liked Smackdown this week and agree with the comments on Sheamus. I thought that was a very good main event and the angle at the end was nicely done.

Meant to say earlier - overall Smackdown was very good. The opening match was pretty good and competitive.

I am enjoying Sandow but wondering why Cesaro is not appearing.

Obviously Main event was a really good TV match.

I like him too. He's booked as the kid friendly face and does his best with it. He rarely has a poor match no matter who he's in with and you can see he's worked hard to get up to scratch. It's fair to say he's done a lot better in WWE than anyone would have predicted when he got signed.

Zachdown was great this week especially the main event match with Sheamus and Jericho, I would love to see a decent feud between them, no need for the Raw recaps though
