A neater ironing board

I am looking for a more compact or better folding-up ironing board. I find in my utility my irorning board takes up a lot of space.

I am just wondering if there are any ironing boards on the market which are neater to store away, even smaller when up standing for use but still capable of ironing all.

    Thanks

Ikea sell compact Ironing board kits.:)

Also any good kitchen supplier will sell you a "fold/slide away" ironing boarsd system.

Basicly, its a full sized ironing board that folds in half and then slides back on sliders into the top drawer of your kitchen counter.

But be prepared to pay a fair few euros for this system.;)

If you're prepared to do a bit of diy, get a pair of drop-leaf brackets and the top of a wooden ironing board (or just "make" one and cover it in foam and staple a cover around it), attach the board to the brackets, then the brackets, securely, to a suitable wall.

Then you have a fold-down ironing board that will take up no more than 2.5 inches of wall space when not in use!

I used 2 brackets like this, Homestyle DIY, Mary St have them, if you're in Dublin.
