Can someone please direct me to some reliable TEFL website? I'm investigating the feasibility of working/travelling to South America (Chile/Argentina) and would like to teach English as a way to make ends meet. Unfortunately google throws up a lot of very dodgy websites. Thanks.

Resources as in teaching resources or agencies?

EDIT: Just reread your post, I got the wrong end of the stick. Not sure how the SA tefl system works.

Have a look at Dave's ESL cafe - it has job adverts & message boards for different countries etc. Do you have a teaching qualification ? If not, get one, that will make your life easier - especially if you're looking for work in the cities.

Don't expect as many opportunities there are there are elsewhere.. I have some friends going over with good TEFL experience but even if they find a job, it's not very lucrative.

When I go to SA, I'll teach but it won't be to make money to continue travelling.. Just so I can stay in a place longer.
