I've recently got a second hand racer and commute to work (approx 9k each way) a few days per week. Im enjoying cycling and was thinking of joining a club. Could anyone recommend a club in the Rathmines area which caters for beginners

    Thanks

ThinkBike in Rathmines would fit the bill perfectly so. Drop into the shop in Rathmines for details or go to http://www.thinkbike.ie/index.aspx Only been out with them a couple of times, but a dead sound crew.

I was a member for a few months, dead sound lads but less and less people had been turning up for the Sunday spins, ended up being the same 3-4 lads every week, and I wanted to start racing so 2 of us switched to st. Tiernans. Was in chatting with one of the lads in the shop yesterday and he told me they're probably going to get rid of the road club altogether and focus on mtb spins, so this will be of no use to you with your racer.

St. Tiernans are just up the road in dundrum, Saturday spins every week at 9:30am, sound bunch of lads and lassies, you'll progress much better with a club like this. I won't be going this Saturday, but I head out from rathmines every week if you want to spin out with someone the following week.
