    Hey all ,

Just wondering has someone had their wedding in this hotel and what they paid for corkage as they are charging €10 per bottle which I think is daylight robbery...

Anyone have any experience with this hotel and corkage???

I don't know of that hotel... However 10 euro corkage is acceptable for really nice venues. More standard hotels probably could charge as low as 6.

We're not paying corkage at all (Riverside Park Hotel in Enniscorthy) but I pretty much ruled out any hotel that wanted to charge that sort of money for corkage. That's the price of a decent bottle of wine (e.g. Faustino V is currently €10 in Tesco).

We had Faustino V at our wedding.
Lovely wine and loads of people commented on it.
    Best of luck.

It's about the only area of the budget I'm not cutting corners on tbh. Having no corkage means I can justify getting good wine and Faustino is my favourite red (I'd love to serve the Gran Reserva (No. I) but the budget can't be stretched *that* far!).

The hotel where we are having our Civil Partnership and reception are charging us €5 for corkage which is pretty good imo. We also got a 10% reduction in the cost of the food.

Going to go up to Asda in the next couple of weeks and get the wine up there.
