Sim card - €2.50

Was in Tesco today and I saw that they had sim cards (tesco network) for €2.50 down by the phones and cameras. Seems like a bargain to me if you need a new number for cheaps..

I know Vodafone offer free sims. And I'm pretty sure most of the rest do too.

Tesco are also free in store if you top up with 10e.

right lads, sorry for the mistake. last time I bought a sim card was a few years ago and they were expensive then. just seemed like a deal when I saw it, wasn't aware that they're generally free now.

Actually yeah you are right. Vodafone sims are €10 online too if you want a new number. Free if you want to keep an existing.

O2 offer free ones.

easiest way would be to cut it

some of them can be break out from regular size sim (same way you get them from full size card) all operators have micros sim in stores, or if you want to order online make sure you specify that it goes to iphone\ipad during checkout

Make sure and cut the sim card right!! I'd back up the contacts first just incase!

+1, be careful. The upper & lower cut is tight. A bit of margin for error on the L & R sides though.

Over the weekend they had vouchers for free sims in the Tesco in tallaght at the checkouts.

I think they may have missed a huge marketing opportunity ..... Play Hunt the SIM with Lycamobile. The idea being they hide Lycamobile SIMs in various locations around Ireland, and then text clues to your phone as to where they are ..... :rolleyes:

Pretty good rates for ringing mobiles.
