was at the skerries races there on saterday and it made me think how does one become/get involved in road racing ....thanks?

You need to join an MCUI affiliated club. One of these: http://www.irishbikeracing.com/

I know you also need to attend seminars and get a racing licence. To get your race licence, you need to apply here: http://www.irishbikeracing.com/downloads/MCI_Licence_form.pdf

Then go to your nearest metalworks and get some balls of steel!!!!
