Using the command Line to access my Router Settings?

I’ve searched quite a bit so apologies if this has been answered before. I have a question actually banging my head off the wall about how to display the full network settings on my active wLAN network connection using the command line only.

The router i’m using in an O2 Hotshot. I can connect using – netsh wlan connect name= O2-Hotshot-xxxx ssid=O2-Hotshot-xxxx.

As “ipconfig” or “All” won’tbring up all my settings such as Subnet Mask, Default Gateway IP Address etc.

Any body have any ideas i’m using Vista or XP?

I wonder if their is a HTTP command to access the Default Gateway (192.168.1.1)

    Thanks in advance..............PMc.

I think you need to use telnet, no? (I have never used netsh, but it sounds like it's for getting information from other windows boxes, which your router is definitely not).

This page gives details on how to connect to it by telnet. It's aimed at changing the default DNS server, but the basics should be there once you get access to the router via telnet.
