Ultrabook vs Mac Book Air

Doing a Masters in september in college and interested in buying a decent light weight laptop, with a screen at least bigger than 12 inches. Are they any ultrabooks as good as or better than the macbook air , such as Acer or Samsung?? Or should I just buy a mac book air?

The Ultrabooks at best represent the Mac Air. Depends on your masters but for most I'd say yes get the Mac unless youre doing a computer science.

The Asus Zenbook or Zenbook Prime would be two great PC options though. It's hard to compete with Apple build quality but ASUS comes as close as possible without violating the magsafe patent.
