Ford Focus Rear Wheel Bearings

    Hi,

I have a 2002 ford focus 1.6 petrol saloon and the rear wheel bearings are making an ever louder humming noise so need to be replaced.

Is there anywhere I can buy new brake drums with the hub and bearing already attached? don't have access to a press to install new bearings and am thinking this would be the easiest way.

Or is it just cheaper to get them done at a garage?

    Thanks,

    Bumpsy.

It will definitely be cheaper to get someone to press new bearings into your own drums than to buy complete new drums with bearings.

Thanks, probably the best solution, need to wait until I have a lift to the garage organized though :)

Had to get the same done on my own Focus recently, I went and bought the bearings then went and took of the drums and took them to garage and got them to press them in...

The place I got them done there was a guy parked in a pay parking street car jacked up on an axle stand with the front wheel and hub off and he was in getting new bearing put in, so if you really stuck for getting to the garage you could do the same!
