Its the best out there full stop. Pick one up and it will make you want it and its a great gun to meet eye and trouble free.

Most clay shoot don't allow semi autos , so ul be looking at o/u and alot of talk about the new berettas not being up to the task of clays ( ejector problems ) I think I'd go for a browning or similar . And it not bias ! I just bought a new perennia

If you're going to be shooting clays seriously I'd go with an O/U, if only because you'll have a pain in your balls picking up shells after a s/a. If you're shooting sporting you'd be picking up 50 or 100 shells across 5 stands...rather you than me:pac:

Go with the unico you will not regret it, if you can stretch the budget get the kick off with it only one drawback tis a feicer to clean "properly"

can you get the kick off added to your beretta at a later stage

ok that might rule the semi's out..so what o/u would you reccomend??

Depends what fits you really. Go to a dealers and see what they have and how they suit.

Dont go out and buy a gun just because of its name or value. What I will say to you as I have always said here is to get out and try as many different types of guns as you can. Surely you know lads who own guns or there is a club in your area. ask would they mind letting you have a shot some evening. You will find most lads will be more than happy get someone started in our sport. Go to your local dealer, hold and throw up a few see what feels right in your hands. As for the recoil, if the gun suits and you are mounting it correctly recoil will not be that much of an issue. but bear in mind lighter guns do tend to recoil more.

Re semi's and clays, I have been shooting 20+ years and have never seen anyone refused from a shoot because they had a semi. The only ones who may have an issue are the lads next to shoot in DTL and at that its not a big job to take one step back while the semi owner is taking their shot.

If your still considering a semi, check out the browning maxus, will cycle 24g's all day, and was even talkin to lad who said he but 21g's threw his no problem!! You can also but a shell catcher on them to stop hitting the guy next to you in dtl, as for fit, there are spacers that come with the gun for changing the stock length an draw length!

    BerettaF

Much depends on condition. Look at the sporter's.
Use the following link as a guide as it has 400-500 Miroku's for sale: http://www.guntrader.co.uk/Guns-For-Sale/results.php?&Filter

Use the Gun Search function in the left hand column.

have you ever owned a firearm before

Given the fact that Miroku is essentially a Browning made in Japan they're definitely worth looking at. It's the sort of gun that will last for ages with basic simple maintenance.

I'm sick of the bad press semis get.

I have been shooting a semi for nearly ten years now and have never been refused entry to a sporting clay range. Most DTL ranges prohibit the use of semis but I DTL is a specific discipline that few shooters partake in.

Some people spout awful sh*te if they think someone will listen. Name one clay ground that forbids the use of semi autos!

Nobody said a range would reject a s/a.

dtl is very popular , most lads like the banter , most clay shooters cut their teeth on dtl and progress from there ,

You will never know who I am ! But I know who u are haha seriously don't waste your money on a gun that you won't be using for a few years until you old enough, something under 500e will suit u down to the ground ....and get your safety course done as you won't be getting anything unless u have it ;D
