    Hi

1st time posting in this forum so I'm hoping you guys can help.

I'm posting on behalf of my girlfriend who is on the lookout for a bike. She's 5'2 so would be looking for a bike that is appropriate for her height. She has no preference as to whether the bike is specifically ladies so men's bikes can be included in the search.

She's based out in Finglas so ideally she'd like to collect the bike from the northside of Dublin or the city as she'd have to rely on public transport to view/collect the bike.
    Her budget is 175e.

Do you guys have any suggestions?

    Cheers!!

hi ! ive a carrera subway ladies hybrid ltd edition in blue/white there if she wanted to take a look at it !! i bought it for the wife last year it done around 10 miles its basically a new bike !!! my wifes 5 1" and its a perfect fit !! check out the spec on-line and let me know if shes into it !! far as i remember it excellent reviews from all the cycling forums !! only thing is i would need to get 250e for it as i paid a fair bit more than that for it !! but if she wanted to get a look at it im sure i could bring the bike over someday if that helped !!

Just told her about your post there, she isn't willing to stretch her budget to 250e but it would help if you could post a link to the bike so I can go over it?

the bike STI V5 mentioned would be the same spec but different colour than the one in the link. maybe a different size too.

Try this, women specific and I know the owner will take 175. She'll deliver Northside too :)

thanks seaneh for posting the link !! yeah practically the same bike as that but being the limited edition it has a few extra bits and im nearly sure it has a slightly better group set on it !! its being a year since ive seen it out of its box so i must dig it out of the garage and check the spec !! try google halfords carrera subway ltd 2011 ladies !! its the white one with blue decals !! shes not that pushed on selling it now but take a look at it anyway !! im sure ye already know but just make sure whatever bike she ends up with is light as ye can get for the money and try get a womens specific frame !! big heavy bike with a high cross bar isnt going to do the girl any favours !! try stick with a hybrid if shes just going to be tipping around !! there sturdy enough but still fairly light !! goodluck with the search !
