    Folks
Bought a Sky+ HD box there off a lad, plugged it in, got the Irish EPG so it doesn't have ITV, C4 etc and has RTE 1 as the first station.

Anyway to revert it to a UK Freeview box with BBC's at the start and ITV, C4 etc.

    Thanks

    yes,
you will need a free to view card from sky ,
Or a card from Setanta, (free) see here how.

you can add the channels to other channels but not ideal.

    Thanks John,
I had a freeview card which I had worked a few years ago, I put it in and it gave me no signal! When I took it out I got a working Irish EPG and I got the standard freeview on an Irish box.
    Odd?

Have you tried rebooting the box with the freeview card in?

    I did indeed. "no signal".
Whip out the card and bobs your uncle there is the picture back again, alas Irish channels!

I'm 99% sure it's defunct. I may stand corrected, but it's the white FTA card you need.

Sky will only send those cards to a UK address.
