Fibrecement (Tegral) fascia & galvanised gutters

I'm getting an external insulation job done on a 1930s bungalow. Timber fascia and soffet need replacing and builder quoted €1200 for brown PVC (not sure if this included gutters.)

I'm thinking of doing it myself - roof is hipped all around so easy access.
I don't like the look or environmental impact of uPVC.

I'm thinking of using Fibrecement (Tegral) fascia & soffet and galvanised steel gutters (this Lindab guttering system would cost about €800 for the materials and looks easy enough to assemble, though I'm not so sure about how well protected the cut ends of the metal would be).

Has anyone any experience with these materials? Any ideas of costs/materials providers/hints/tips (house is about 45m all around)? Any low cost alternative suggestions (Marine plywood fascias, alu fascia or guttering)?

    GRMA (go raibh maith agaibh!)
