Gamekool don't even take Visa atm. I emailed them and they told me they can't accept it. They did however, offer to allow me to pay by PayPal. I didn't go with them in the end and still haven't found a good site for them.

Edit: The email I got from Gamekool, just in case you're curious. http://i.imgur.com/1p6fC.png

For anybody that's interested I've just ordered an Acekard 2i from gamekool.com. "Interesting" payment procedure they have!:pac:

What is it? Do they not accept paypal anymore?

They accept Paypal but in a roundabout way. Is it ok to divulge their secrets on here? It seemed dodgy as hell but I did it anyway as the card was cheap, about €13. I can pm you the email if you like.

If they accept Paypal, there shouldn't be anything untoward about it. Is it just a personal email address they use or something?

No they send you an email with a link to a different website and a ready made account with the second website. When you log in to the second website the items in your basket exactly equal the cost of your acekard from gamekool.com.

In the email they say it's because paypal don't allow sites to sell flashcarts. I'll pm it to you.

I'm finally going to get around to getting a card myself.

But before I order, all I need to mod my DS is an acekard 2.1 + microSD guys, right?

It's arrived and waiting in the post office depot, I'll let you know how I get on when I go to use it. Delivery time wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, about 2 weeks. Edit: Only 10 days actually...

I had some terrible trouble with cards I got last year, in the end I got 3 of them working but only for a few months then they died. Would like to try again. I'd be getting one each for a DS, a DSi and a 3DS. Do the acekards support all 3 firmware? The last cards I got did as long as you didn't update the 3DS firmware.

Unfortunately I had already updated my 3DS firmware to the latest version (4.4-10 or something) before the Acekard arrived so now I can't even see if it works. Disappointing. Here's hoping they'll release an update soon.

So I contacted gamekool (basically chancing my arm) to say that I wanted a refund as I had already updated to the latest firmware and the card will never work, to my shock they said no problem, just send it back!

Does this mean that there's absolutely no chance of a patch for the latest firmware, is there any point at all in holding on to it?

don't know if you got sorted with this but I got a supercard dstwo from the same people with the "interesting payment procedure".
ordered it a few weeks before Christmas but only arrived yesterday.
when I got to the 3ds it was already updated to 4.5.??.
luckily I was able to get access to an old non-updated DSi to update the card to the latest FW/patch & everything now working on the 3ds (no 3d yet tho)

card is dearer than the acekard but might be your only option at the mo

In fairness to them they actually said that I could send it back for a refund but I would've had to cover postage so I never got round to it in the end. I think I can get my hands on an old DSi so I might just use it in that.

So the supercard you bought works with the latest 3ds firmware? How much did you pay if you don't mind me asking? Not sure I understand why you needed the DSi if the card was already updated to 4.5 firmware.

I'm assuming at this stage that there's zero chance of the acekard ever getting an update.
