when i have my headlights on the indicators don't work when i brake.
what happens is, i indicate to turn, press the brake, and then the indicator
flashes fast like a bulb has blown. i also loose the sound they make in the cabin.
this only happens when i have my lights on. i am going try change my battery to see if this helps, but I'm sure the one i have is still good.
also Ive checked all the fuses and they all seem fine.

Poor earth connection in the rear light clusters.

could be a brake light bulb not fitted properly

Like Richard says: bad earth in the rear lights.
    (...and definately NOT the battery)

cheers, but when you say poor earth connection, is it the bulb its self that is not getting a good connection.

It'll either be the bulb holder for the rear lights or an incorrect bulb type fitted.

There is no reason to conclude that it could be the battery IMO. Have you any condensation in any of your lights?

cheers guys, it did turn out to be a bad earth.
i found a broken earth wire close to the boot catch.
it was meant to be bolted to the body just below, but it
had broken off because of me throwing tools in the boot.
