not sure hydraulic pumps can be repaired in general... aren't they usually fooked?

look into hipower pumps in cork if you prefer to not buy genuine.

OP what's it out of? You might be better off buying a new one.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

I think it depends what's wrong with it. If it's just a seal or o-ring that's gone, then you might get away with replacing just those. I'm looking at my shop manual here for a David Brown 995 tractor and it says that the 'bearings' which go at both sides of the pump gears (Gear Type Pump) can be repaired with some lapping on fine emery paper. Is there a local tractor guy that fixes the type of tractor you have. Give them a ring.
I've also stripped an industrial Piston Type Pump (variable displacement) at work. These are harder to repair as it's mostly metal sliding on metal with a film of oil between. If any metal gets scored at all, I'd say it's very difficult to repair.

some hydraulic pumps can be repaired, really depends on the damage to it, seals etc can be no prob, bearings generally mean a new pump.
What's the pump off? it should have a make and cc on it somewhere.
Call any of the shops listed above and they should be able to advise you.
Another one I have used before and found them good was Micro Hydraulics 01-4639100.
