Sky Remote Help

    I like an idiot spilt a half pint of water ( not beer !!) on our sky remote two days ago and it continues not to work , have been manually adjusting sky box ( and cant continue any longer) what is best to do ? repair or buy new and if so how and where (i.e with Sky or normal tv shop) many tks for help in adv

    Just buy a new one.I think most Tesco stores sell them for €20 - €30 Argos also do them, if you google them and are prepared to wait for it to be posted you will find them cheaper online. Also you could try this-
    Remove the batteries from the old one and put the old remote into a bowl of dry rice.The rice will help suck any moisture out of the electronics. Leave it a few days in the rice and then try it with new batteries, it may be ok.
