First thing that popped into my head was Robert Llewellyn's 'Carpool' series. Seems to be a very similar premise to that.

First thing that popped into my head was Robert Llewellyn's 'Carpool' series. Seems to be a very similar premise to that.

True, Robert Llewellyn noticed it too
It is the same premise as Llewellyn’s show – which started on the internet before being picked up as an advertiser-funded show for Dave – but with the addition of coffee and a more expensive motor than the Toyota Prius Llewellyn drove.
But although the Red Dwarf star admitted he wasn’t receiving a penny from multi-millionaire Seinfeld, he said he wasn’t angry at his idea being stolen.
‘I see it as a homage rather than rip-off,’ he tweeted today. ‘Anyway, #carpool is hardly 100% original, small cameras in cars are now used all the time.’
However he did copy Seinfeld in on the tweets, and added: ‘That said, gimme a lift.’
