    :D

The fun kicks off on Sunday at 8:00, with the Futures Game - some of the prospects I'm looking forward to seeing are Wil Myers (KC) who is seen as MLB ready but the Royals don't wish to call him up without an everyday position open for him (outfielder) - Billy Hamilton (Cincinnati) can't find the stats right now but this guy has stolen a ridiculous amount of bases this year, people are talking about him breaking minor league records if he keeps it up, and of course the Sox prospects involved -

Xander Bogaerts (SS) - World roster
Matt Barnes (SP) - USA roster

Then we have the Home Run Derby at 2am on Monday, also a repeat on at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, with the main event All Star Game at 12:30 pm Tuesday night. They're all on ESPN America :)

Any prospects you're looking for in the futures game? Picks for the HR Derby?

I'm not a fan of this week although I will probably check out the futures game and hopefully get to see the prospects from the Mets organisation that are playing. I will check the box score to see how individual players did in the ASG and probably have a quick glance at some of the key plays on MLB.TV but I won't pay too much attention to it. I've always found the Home Run derby boring though.

I understand why Bud wants to make the game more interesting by linking home field advantage in the WS to the result and as long as he's in charge that isn't going to change but any game where the best players aren't necessarily playing yet it counts, is seriously flawed but that's a debate that's been going on for years and we coud have 20 pages on it here and not get agreement.
