was coming from the Square today noticed a Garda Gatso Van,

of course all cars started to drive slow,

was just wondering were does that van actually catch you,

Is it as you pass by or can it get you at the top of that road,

Didnt notice it flashing at all and it was quited dark around 17.00

They can catch you 400m away if they want.

I'd have a limited amount of sympathy for anyone who gets caught on national speed vans everywhere day.

unless they are on the n4 !!! saw the white van at spawell today. there was a load of traffic, and there was no way was doing over 50km/h.

already got caught on the n4 recently, not going above speed limit anymore!

it doesnt need to flash to catch you, as i well know.

ive only ever seen a garda speed camera van on the N4 once in the last 2 years.

heading outbound from dublin city right after the N4 / M50 junction sitting at the bus stop or in the bus lane.

you'd have to be stupidly drunk or out of your box to not know its a speed van cos of where it was parked alone !

not if you are trying to merge into the m50 lane from the n4. its difficult manoeuvering 3 lanes going at 60km/h when there are cars coming at you.

i made the mistake, i admit it. now back to the spawell gatso as this is what the thread is about

20-30 metres more like it...these are RADAR vans and don't have an operator aiming like the ones in the UK
