Thanks, I haven't done any of their previous races but this just caught my eye, looks like a good trail run.

There is a good friendly atmosphere at them, the sharp end of the field is the usual, fairly competitive, but ya have people of all abilities taking part in the races! In terms of this trail race, make sure ya keep something in the bag for the end, the middle mile is all along by the river, then you turn back up the hill and have a hard slog up to the finish! It's caught out people badly before ha!

What's it like underfoot?, I haven't been up to the Devils Glen for a few years, I assume it's gravel and hard worn track. I'll wear the trail shoes assuming it'll be wet Saturday and Sunday.

If it's along the area I'm familiar with then it is pretty much gravel and well packed paths. Trail runners are probably ideal. It should be relatively dry but a few puddles would add to the fun:D

A comfortable win for Mick Byrne in 17:38, a few trees on the course to add some additional challenges.

Hi lads - thanks for a great event today. Fantastic route through the wood and along the river bank. Very slick registration. loads of prizes. And all for €5!! The advice on the final climb up from the river was also much appreciated!!!

Plus 1 - great run, well organised, I was going great until I hit that hill, struggled up but really a good run. 56 competitors and results promptly posted online. A lot of others organising events should take advice from these guys.
