    Hey Guys,

I am a guitar beginner and have a six string acoustic guitar. Just wondering if anyone out there on what type of Capo to buy?

I've done a bit of googling and the kyser capo seems to be held in high regard. Not sure where to buy this in ireland though. And how much should i be paying for a capo?

Essentially, I'm wondering what type, how much should i roughly be paying and where can i get it!

    Thanks
    Zizou.

    I own these 2.

    Kyser Capo

    Strings.ie cheapy one .

The cheap one works fine but I'm not a fan of the grip thing, it's very clammy for me, the kyser is 2x the price, but the clamp handle is so much easier for me to work with and I'd gladly spend the 20 on another one.

Have to agree with IrishGrimReaper, the Kyser is a great capo, easy to use and should last you a long time

Bets capo by a long shot is the Shubb in my opinion, its durable, fits the way you want it on any guitar.

The Kyser is also a good buy however.

You should be able to pick both up in most music stores, online you'll pay €15 or so for both.

I agree with the guys regarding schubb and Kyser (don't know the Strings one). I think the schubb is more expensive, but it fits in the pocket, which is why I prefer it to the Kyser.

I have this one as well, but it's really not as easy to use:

The main thing is not to buy a cheap one with the elastic ribbon type of thing. Not if you intend on using it for years anyway. It'll do your head in.

    I like the Kyser style.

I have one clamped to the headstock of each of my guitars and bouzoukis.

they're always there when I need them, not in a pocket or cable bag like a shubb would be.

and yes, I said kyser STYLE. I have 2 kysers from WAYYYY back, and about 10 that I got off ebay for about £3 each.....

    like these....... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Aluminium-Metal-Release-Spring-Trigger-Capo-For-Acoustic-Or-Electr-Ic-Guitar-/271031525320?pt=UK_Guitar_Accessories&var=&hash=item3f1abcdfc8
