Grading for 2nd year and 3rd year: Degree

    Hi there,
I was just wondering about the crossover of grades from 2nd year to 3rd year. I've heard some people say that you can CHOOSE to bring over a percentage of your 2nd year grades if they were better than 3rd year...but others have given me the impression that 2nd year grades are actually integrated into part of 3rd year grades as a kind of average between the two.
My head is melting with this because I got 2.2 in second year and if that drags my 3rd year efforts down I'll have to fight harder for a 1.1 degree.
Can anyone explain how it works to me?
I'm doing a B.A. in History and Ancient Classics if that makes any difference.

It's done in whatever way will give you the highest grade. I'm going to presume you're doing a three year degree. So your final grade will either be your 3rd year result or a combination of your 2nd and 3rd years results. If they combine them 2nd year will be worth 30% and 3rd year worth 70%.
It's all done for you and they will automatically calculate whichever one gives you the higher grade. So if you do better in 3rd year than 2nd that's the only one which counts and if you don't do as well next year then they'll use your 2nd year results to bring up your overall grade!

Thank you! That cleared it all up for me! I was running around like a headless chicken there trying to find the right information. Thanks again!
