You won't get the free credit unless O2 sent you a text.

So what is the minimum top up I need to have applied to my account to get the 10€?
I read the T&C twice but cannot get this info nor the definition of eligible customer in the T7C.

In my experience its usually not using the sim for a few months. These seem to be win back promotions. To either get people to use their old O2 sim again, or where people don't top up that often, get them to topup in order to send the text to get the free credit.

They use analytics (big hard sums and computing power) to mine their usage data to detect potential churners (those about to move networks), so they can target them to see if they can be enticed into topping up / extending their contracts. It's much cheaper than having a wholesale promotion across the board.

It's not just O2, mind, most companies use similar techniques to drum up business from their existing clients via upselling or contract extensions.

So it there any hope anybody who texted the code will get the credit, and not just those who were targeted?

It's worth a shot, I texted it and it said I'll get the credit if I'm eligible. No harm in trying anyway.
